Issue Overview: We’re experiencing issues finding a significant number of images related to specific classes, such as Hexanchus-Sixgill. These images are now missing hundreds of them. We’re unsure if this was removed due to a batch job being deleted or if there’s another reason behind this.
Interestingly, we can still see most of the missing images from the assets library. However, they indicate that these images are not associated with any project. Alternatively, if we search for the class Hexanchus-Sixgill in the assets library, we find 347 images, but in our FishDetect-V5 project, we only see 205. This is not just for this one class, but for a few other classes too. We have backed up all the old projects we deleted, but why does that make it deleted?
It becomes even more perplexing when we click on one of these 347 images that are not present in the 205 v5 dataset. This action takes us to the “Upload Data” section, which appears to display all the images we were searching for. We’re confused about where our data has gone, how many images we’ve lost compared to how many are actually present, and what steps we can take to recover any lost data.
It’s worth noting that we deleted these images yesterday afternoon, so the issue hasn’t been long-standing.
Questions:
- Why are there images in there that have no project?
- Why are the images missing and why were they removed from the V5 project if we deleted old projects? Why were those not kept in V5?
- How can we recover lost data? How can we figure out what was lost? Are there history snapshots you can review?
- We had a meeting with Roboflow recently and we followed the recommended workflow.
