Images In Unassigned batch disappeared

When I went to asign a batch of images sent via the rest API, they suddenly disapeared off the page. Now when I go to assign them, this is all I see.

The Project page states that I have 1.2K images, but there are only 934 in the dataset, and very very few unanotated photos (4), meaning these images are no where to be seen but are still being acounted for. I had about 170 images uploaded, which went missing.

Hey! Ive had this issue too within the last couple days. let me see if @Jacob_Witt can give any insight for the both of us

I just saw that your dataset was deleted. Let me know if you moved the dataset over to another link and ill see if I can help you out!

I know that can be frustrating collecting data and then it appearing missing.

I will tell you from experience that sometimes there is a delay in the the data appearing in your project, and if you resist the urge to delete the project and start over, it will show up eventually. I know thats not ideal, but its much easier for the team to help restore your data if the project is still intact.

Good luck on your project, and I hope we get it sorted out!

Hi @Y88tr - sorry for this experience, we’re working on a fix. As Hunter mentioned, the images will appear in your workspace eventually.

Hi @Y88tr.

I’m Tony from Roboflow engineering team.

I can see that you deleted your bee-swarm-z5dgi/tokens-jprzi project right?
Please let me know if you have this problem happen again on another project, I’d love to to look at the logs and try to understand what happened!

Ive had this issue too within the last couple days.

@Hunter-Lanier can you share more details about the steps you took and the problem that happened? Better yet if you can point me to the dataset url with the missing data.

Thanks!
Tony

Sure! I’m on mobile right now, but the project is robochess-3qyqt/3.

It was about 5-6 days ago. I was trying to reorganize some batches for training/valid set. I pushed the batch back to unassigned, and when I pushed it through again to annotate it disappeared. I made a lot of request within the span of a few minutes. I can’t remember the name of the batch but it was Empty-Board or something like that. I hope that helps!

@Hunter-Lanier thanks, I looked at the data and I still can’t see the kinds of inconsistencies that would cause missing images.

I can see that your dataset has images on two jobs:

  • “Version 3.0” with 201 images
  • “640_480_32” with 25 images

Are you missing any other images other than those?
