Issue: Smart Polygon Tool Not Working, Bounding Box Disappears & "Incorrect Conversion" Pop-up

Description:
I’m facing multiple issues with the Smart Polygon tool in Roboflow:

  1. When trying to convert a bounding box into a polygon, the tool does not refine or expand properly.
  2. The annotation bounding box disappears after applying Smart Polygon, making further edits impossible.
  3. A pop-up appears saying “Incorrect Conversion – Please contact customer support”, suggesting a possible server-side issue.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open an image in the Roboflow annotation tool.
  2. Select Smart Polygon to convert a bounding box into a polygon.
  3. Click inside the object to refine or outside to expand.
  4. The tool does not adjust the polygon correctly.
  5. The bounding box disappears after conversion.
  6. A pop-up appears with “Incorrect Conversion – Please contact customer support”.

Expected Behavior:

  • The Smart Polygon tool should properly refine the segmentation.
  • The bounding box should remain visible for further adjustments.
  • The pop-up error should not appear unless there is an actual problem with the dataset.
