I recently come across multiple datasets and projects on Roboflow using the Images from RDD2022 dataset.
The original dataset was published on figshare.
I am one of the main contributors of this dataset and worked with the team from Norway to participate in the challenge.
Although this dataset is published online under the license CC BY 4.0, I don’t see any attribution provided to the original source on Roboflow projects using this dataset.
There are multiple projects using this dataset and published without proper attribution. Here are some examples:
I realized most of the projects using dataset from Norway Damages uses the original source. Considering the importance and efforts in annotating dataset; this is unjustified and not fair to publish copies of the dataset without providing proper attribution and following the license agreements.
I don’t find an option to report the dataset or contact the person. However, I have mailed previously on legal@roboflow.com, which went unanswered. So, I am wondering, what can be done regarding this? Is there a way to ask people top add attribution or take down these datasets?
