Request for One-Time Invoice Waiver for surprised excess charge

Hi Roboflow Support Team,

​I am writing to humbly request your assistance regarding some unexpected charges on my account. As a new user and academic researcher, I recently subscribed to the Roboflow Core Plan ($99.00) on March 5, 2026, to support my current project.

​However, I was surprised to receive two additional invoices on March 8:

​Invoice 1: $72.00 (Flex Usage)

​Invoice 2: $52.00 (Flex Usage)

​Reason for the Appeal:

I would like to clarify that these charges resulted from a technical misunderstanding on my part. While testing my model, I was running the code on my localhost. I mistakenly believed that by running the process locally, I was not consuming billable API credits. I did not realize that the local environment was still making frequent calls to the Roboflow hosted API.

​Furthermore:

​Lack of Notification: I did not receive any real-time warnings or notifications when I reached the $50 flex limit. Had I been alerted, I would have stopped the process immediately.

​Individual/Academic Capacity: As an individual researcher, this total amount represents a significant and unplanned financial burden.

​Project Completion: I have now completed my testing and have halted all processes to ensure no further charges occur.

​Given that this was an honest mistake during my initial onboarding, I am writing to ask if you could please consider a one-time waiver of these two flex usage invoices ($124.00 total).

​I truly appreciate the quality of the Roboflow platform and hope to continue using it for my research. I would be incredibly grateful for your understanding and leniency in this matter.
