Questions About Monthly Subscription, Data Retention, and Sandbox Plan

Hi Roboflow community,

I’m working on a project that will need annotation tools for about a month, and then again a few months later. I don’t see the value in paying for a full year when I’ll only use it for two months.

I have a few questions:

  1. What happens to my datasets after I cancel the Basic plan?
  2. Will I still be able to access or download my data?
  3. If I resubscribe later, will my projects still be there?
  4. Any tips to keep my data safe and private between subscriptions?
  5. Can you share details and pricing for the Sandbox plan?

Thanks in advance!

Hey @konsmar

Although we’re supportive of users who use Roboflow for labeling only, our plans are designed to meet the continuing needs of most of our customers. That includes labeling, but also training and deploying models, as well as creating computer vision pipelines with Workflows.

To answer your questions:
When you cancel a paid plan, your workspace will show a screen where we’ll ask you to pick a new plan to move forward. You’ll have the option here to select a free Public plan, but it’s an option you will have to click: We will not automatically make your data public.

When your workspace doesn’t have a plan selected, you won’t be able to do anything with your data, but once you pick a plan again, you’ll go back right where you left off. All our currently available plans are on our [pricing page]. (Roboflow Pricing and Plans)
