Academic Email Recognition Issue 2

Hi Roboflow Community,

we are working on a non-commercial school research project and currently facing an issue with academic verification.

Our email address

reverberi.rafael@sus.owo.ch

belongs to our school / educational institution (OWO – Oberstufe Wasseramt Ost, Switzerland – https://owo.ch), but it is not being recognized as an academic email by the Roboflow system.

Because of this, we are unable to apply for Research / Academic Access, even though:

  • the project is purely educational and non-commercial,

  • we have already had Research Access before,

  • and we only need access until the end of July to finish our project.

The project (BallScope) focuses on computer vision for ball detection and tracking in sports, and access to model exports/downloads is especially important for our local experiments.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue, or can a Roboflow team member advise on manual verification or an alternative way to confirm academic status (e.g. school confirmation)?

Hi @RafaelReverberi_OWO !

You absolutely went through the right channel to go ahead and get this moved over to a research plan. Our platform checks for .edu emails, so other institutions require a manual check from us. That being said, I have processed your request and made your “BallScope” workspace a research workspace. Happy Roboflowing!
