Why there is no Semantic Segmentation tools?

When training a semantic segmentation model, there are no available workflow tools to support its implementation—unlike with instance segmentation, which is fully integrated. As a result, it is also not possible to leverage the Batch tool for semantic segmentation tasks.

It appears that semantic segmentation is intentionally underdeveloped or deprioritized.

In our research, which focuses on street view analysis, semantic models consistently deliver superior performance and accuracy.

On top of that, the only option to export weights is Roboflow 2.0 model, so I guess that can’t be use any other platform… seems like a dead end!

Hi @Edddy!
This is a fantastic feature request! Adding semantic segmentation blocks to workflows is something thats on our roadmap, but we currently cannot provide a timeline for it.

In the past, this has been the case, but it’s changing now. For example, we recently added improvements to semantic segmentation such as training charts and will soon have the ability to train from a checkpoint.

Thank you again for your feedback and contributing to the Roboflow community!!

Hi @Ford, thanks for the reply and the update, we hope it gets better sooner than later.
And congrats on the platform in general, keep up the good work!

@Edddy Thank you for the wonderful feedback!!

That’s very kind, we owe it all to our users!!
