Unable to use my model for automatic annotation

I’m encountering an error when trying to use the Auto-Label feature with my custom model on a detection task. The error message displayed is:

“Error Generating Test Results. There was an error running your Automatic Labeling test. Please try again.”

I’ve retried multiple times but the issue persists. No additional error details are shown in the UI.

What I’ve tried:

  • Refreshing and retrying

  • Testing on different images

Questions:

  • What can be the reason for this?

  • Project Type: Object Detection

  • Operating System & Browser: MacOS X, Chrome

  • Do you grant Roboflow Support permission to access your Workspace for troubleshooting? No

Hi Karen, there was an issue with the hosted inference API which recovered at approximately 1550 ET on 3rd July. If you retry now, you should be able to run the automatic label again.
