Request: Access to Smoking-CCTV Dataset for YOLOv8-based Smoking Detection

My name is ali, and I’m currently working on my graduation project to develop a CCTV-based smoking-behavior detection system using YOLOv8. Over the past few months, I have:

  1. Collected and annotated several small datasets for cigarette and smoke detection.
  2. Trained and evaluated models that achieve promising mAP on my own data.
  3. Integrated live video frame-by-frame inference into a prototype application.

I recently came across the Smoking-CCTV dataset on Roboflow Universe, which would be invaluable for:

  • Validating my model’s performance on real CCTV footage.
  • Improving robustness and reducing false positives in diverse lighting and backgrounds.
  • Benchmarking against other methods in the community.

Unfortunately, it seems that the dataset is currently private or unavailable. I would be extremely grateful if someone could help me by:

  1. Putting me in touch with the dataset owner (SmokingDetectionCCTV),
  2. Re-enabling public access to the full 9,712-image set, or
  3. Providing an alternative download link or instructions for obtaining the data.
