Image segmentation of image (Annotations)

Dear Roboflow Team,

I am considering using Roboflow for an image segmentation project and wanted to inquire whether the platform can accommodate the following requirements:

Project Overview:
We are working with large .tiff images, which can be several gigabytes in size. These images can be divided into smaller segments if necessary. Our objective is to annotate and segment the images with a total of 9 labels.

Questions:

  1. Does Roboflow support .tiff format, or would we need to convert the images into another format for processing?
  2. How many images can be annotated with the free version? Would you recommend the starter pack for a project of this size?

We would appreciate any guidance you can provide to determine the best approach for our project.

Thank you for your time and assistance!

Best regards,
Valeria Zingaretti

Hi @ValZinga - we do not support .tiff images and have an upload limit of 20MB per image, so you likely would need to convert to .jpg and tile the images.

The free plan allows you to have 10,000 images in the platform at a given point in time, though all of the images and models trained are available to the public on Universe. If you need private data or higher limits I suggest the Starter plan.

Best,
Jacob
