I have a collection of datapoints about surgical instruments. I've got a bunch of images (6K+) and keypoint annotations in a coco format that matches the export, but it doesn't upload

I have a dataset of a few laproscopic instrument doing activities inside one of our trainers. I want to train a keypoint model. I used roboflow to annotate about 300 images, then used that to train a YoloV11pose model, which I then used to annotate the rest of the data. I wanted to upload the annotations, which I put in what I believe is the correct coco format, to review and correct on roboflow. But whenever I try to upload the annotations, nothing happens. No error messages, nothing. It just uploads and then shows nothing. I’ve tried both the CLI and Website, and have not gotten an error message, but the annotations don’t show up in either the data or annotation section of annotation task. What am i missing or doing wrong?

Cool project! Sounds like you have images in Roboflow and you want to now upload annotations that line up with those images. Per the documentation, “You can only upload annotations with their associated images. You cannot upload annotations for images that have already been imported into your dataset.”

There’s a link to the page of instructions below, but what I believe people do is download their dataset and then load them back in along with annotations and then it works. You just have to get the file/folder naming correct so it’s understood by the system as you drop it back in.
