Differences Between Personal and Invited Workspaces on Free Plan

Hi, I’d like to ask something regarding workspaces in Roboflow.

I currently have access to two different workspaces:

  1. My own personal workspace
  2. A workspace I was invited to by a colleague

Both of them are using the free plan, but I noticed some differences between the two.

In my personal workspace, I’m able to perform modify class preprocessing when creating a new dataset version — this is allowed under the free plan. However, in the workspace where I was only invited, that same feature is unavailable unless we upgrade the plan.

I also noticed that in my personal workspace, I can’t see credit usage information, but in the invited one, I can.

I’ve attached screenshots to show the differences more clearly.
Could someone explain why this happens even though both are on the free plan? Thank you!

Hi @abiyamf!
Your workspace on the left is on our old Public Plan and the workspace on the right is on the new Public Plan. If you would like to, you can switch to our new Public Plan which integrates Usage Based Pricing. More information can be found on Roboflow Pricing and Plans

Important differences between the two. We will be pushing updates and new features to the new Public Plan. Since the Public Plan uses Usage Based Pricing, for training runs credit usage is determined by training time (30min per credit).

Apologies for the confusion!

Hi Ford, thank you for your helpful response!

I have a follow-up question. If I switch to the new Public Plan with usage-based pricing, will I lose access to certain preprocessing options when creating a dataset version?
Specifically, features like Modify Classes and Filter by Tag are very important for my research workflow.

I’d appreciate clarification on whether these tools are still available under the new Public Plan.
Thanks again!

Hi @abiyamf!
Absolutely! My pleasure.

Unfortunately, neither of those tools are available under the new Public Plan.

Apologies for the inconvenience!
