Hi Roboflow Team,
I’m a student-researcher at Bowdoin College and I’m planning to use Roboflow as part of a hands-on labeling activity in my research advisor’s Advanced Data Science class. The activity will involve approximately 30 students, which exceeds the standard 15-team-member limit on the Research Plan.
Could you please help me get the team member limit increased to accommodate my class of 30? The use is entirely non-commercial and educational, and I’m happy to keep the workspace public.

Thank you for your support!
Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out about your classroom project at Bowdoin College!
It’s great to see Roboflow being used in educational settings, especially for hands-on labeling activities in Advanced Data Science courses.
For educational use cases like yours that exceed the standard team limits, you’ll need to reach out directly to Roboflow’s team for assistance. The Research Plan is designed to support academic work, but requests for increased team member limits (especially jumping from 15 to 30 members) typically require manual review and approval. Since your use case is clearly educational and non-commercial, this should be straightforward to resolve.
The best way to handle this is to contact Roboflow support directly through their support channels. You can reach them at support@roboflow.com or through the in-app chat.
When you contact them, mention that this is for a classroom activity at Bowdoin College with 30 students, that it’s entirely educational/non-commercial, and that you’re happy to keep the workspace public. Having your workspace ID (iceberg-seg) ready will help them assist you quickly.
Instance segmentation is a perfect project type for educational labeling activities since students get hands-on experience with precise annotation work. Your iceberg segmentation project sounds like it’ll give students practical experience with real-world computer vision challenges.
