  • Trying to develop a model for Caribbean marine life Identification and Measurement in Underwater Environments. This model would take both image and video.
  • NOAA Dataset unavailable, WHOI dataset just ID everything as fish.
  • New To Robflex with a common understanding of Object detection and Neural Networks.
  • I would greatly appreciate anything to get me started. To include bounding box identification.

Depending on how you want to classify the animals, you would need to find or create your own dataset with your ideal classes and rules for classification. Then I would suggest starting by training RF-DETR on your dataset and see how it performs. You can also try the new SAM3 model from meta on their playground, which is a larger model that might have some of the capabilities you are looking for out of the box.
