# Why is the file size of the labeled image smaller than original image?

Hi  
I would like to know why the size of the annotated file is reduced compared to the original when downloaded with no prerpocessing, no augmenations export after annotating the image

Hi - what size are your images when you upload? I believe we have a ~2000x2000 maximum image size for images stored on the app.

uploaded image is 1920 \* 1200 size

Are they standard jpg? If you are uploading png, for instance, the conversion can drop file size.
