# \[Question\] Rebalancing One Duplicated Project Affects Other Duplicates

Hi, I’m encountering an unexpected issue while working with multiple duplicated projects in Roboflow.

I duplicated an original **Object Detection** project several times using the **“Duplicate Project”** feature. Then, I modified labels slightly in each of the cloned projects.

However, after applying **Rebalance Dataset** to only **one of the duplicated projects** , it seems that the image splits (train/valid/test) in the other duplicate projects also changed — as if they are still somehow linked.ㅅ

This leads me to the following questions:

1. Does “Duplicate Project” create a fully independent copy, or are images/labels still linked behind the scenes?
2. Is the train/valid/test split configuration shared or copied at the time of duplication?
3. Could applying `Rebalance Dataset` in one project unintentionally affect other duplicated projects?
4. What’s the correct way to ensure duplicated projects are completely isolated?

I would really appreciate any clarification or if anyone has experienced similar behavior. Thank you!
