# Moving all annotations from one project to another

New to much of this but exploring object recognition vs. segmentation. Did many annotations and trained a model within an “instance segmentation” project but realizing I actually want to try object recognition using the same annotations from my other project. I can’t merge the projects since one is object recognition and the other is instance segmentation. How can I take all of my annotated images from one project to another?

Hey there! If you labeled the dataset with polygons, you’re able to export the dataset ([Export Data - Roboflow Docs](https://docs.roboflow.com/datasets/exporting-data)) and then upload into a new object detection Project.
