When/how are credits used in usage based pricing?

The document doesn’t specify: [https://media.roboflow.com/roboflow-rate-table.pdf](https://media.roboflow.com/roboflow-rate-table.pdf)

Are AI Labeling credits deducted each time images are uploaded/labeled or summed over the month and then credits are deducted?

IOW, if I upload one image and use AI Labeling does that immediately use one credit or can I upload 100 images and AI label them one by one over a month and that costs one credit?

Similarly for augmentation over multiple training sessions. Does generation of 1000 images in 20 training session within a month use one credit or 20 credits?

Thanks

Hi @saschwarz - thanks for posting!

AI labeling credits are deducted when an image is labeled (each image counts once in a session, but will count twice if you label the same image across multiple sessions).

Generation also consumes credits when you generate those images.

So to be pedantic 🙂

To minimize my use of credits I should upload many files at once if I’m going to use AI Labeling; uploading 150 files would use 2 credits, while uploading 1 at a time and using AI Labeling would use 150 credits.

No - in both cases it’s charged on a per-image basis. You’d pay the same amount for 150 1-image jobs or 1 150-image job.

Oh so it is fractional credits? Maybe [https://media.roboflow.com/roboflow-rate-table.pdf](https://media.roboflow.com/roboflow-rate-table.pdf) could be updated and clarified to say it was 1/150th of a credit per image for AI Labeling instead of the current wording?
